Strengthening Regional Entomological Surveillance

The West African Aedes Surveillance Network (WAASuN), in collaboration with the Instituto Nacional de Saúde Pública (INSP), is set to host the International Conference on Arboviruses, a landmark gathering of scientists, public health experts, policymakers, and stakeholders committed to addressing the growing threat of arboviral diseases.

Scheduled to take place from 15th to 19th June 2026 in Praia, Cabo Verde, the conference will provide a high-level platform for knowledge exchange, innovation, and strategic dialogue around arbovirus surveillance and control in West Africa and beyond.

Held under the theme : “Strengthening regional entomological surveillance within the context of climate change, innovation and integrated action in response to emerging threats,”
